Considered one of the 10 best “Hidden Gem” music schools by Music School Central, the William Paterson University Department of Music provides the opportunity for students to earn degrees at the bachelor of arts, bachelor of music, and master of music levels. Approximately 270 graduate and undergraduate music majors are currently enrolled in the program. Students are provided with the resources, guidance, and diverse environment offered by the New York metro area, which motivates them to build and maintain careers in a variety of music professions. In an effort to provide the tools necessary for student success in the music program and for the University to continue to provide outstanding public performances, William Paterson has launched the WP 88 Keys Campaign to generate support for the replacement of the 40-year-old Steinway piano that is currently on stage in the Shea Center for the Performing Arts. This purchase will allow William Paterson University students and visiting performers the opportunity to play a new Steinway & Sons Model D Grand Piano. The WP 88 Keys Campaign gives you the opportunity to directly influence our students’ education by supporting this initiative at one of the following sponsorship levels, which can be paid over time:Middle C: $25,000Opus: $15,000Highest/Lowest Note: $5,000Piano Key: $2,500If you are interested in supporting the campaign at one of the sponsorship levels, please contact Pamela Ferguson at fergusonp4@wpunj.edu or 973.720.2425.
